I spent 25 years in the United States Army. The last 15 as a Green Beret. I retired as an 18 Fox — a Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant. In that time I learned things most people will never need to know. I'm starting to think they might.

I've sat across from dirt farmers in Iraq and across from heads of state. I've studied Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell the way some people study scripture. I grew up moving everywhere — from a migrant workers' shack in Colorado to my grandparents' entrepreneurial home to every place in between. I know what it means when someone can't afford what they need to live. And I've been close enough to the edge to understand what it takes to come back from it.

For several years after retiring from the Army, I worked directly with Richard Lindheim — one of the most respected executive producers in Hollywood — on a project I developed for veterans. When we started, he sat me down and said, "Jason, I get paid millions of dollars just to give my advice." He paused — and I thought, oh no, here it comes. Then he said, "I'm not telling you that because I want anything from you. I'm telling you that because I want you to understand the value of what I'm giving you. I believe your story can help a lot of vets find their way out of misery, and I'm willing to give you any help I can."

He eventually advised me to shelve the project and write a book about my life and philosophy instead — because he thought my story could reach more people that way. I did. He read it and gave me honest, invaluable feedback. He became one of the most important mentors of my life. He passed before we could finish what we started. NEO Resolution exists in part because of him.

NEO Resolution LLC is a production company built on a single question: what do people actually need right now?

The answer, as I see it, is two things. The practical skills to take care of themselves and the people they love. And the philosophical grounding to understand why any of it matters.
